A GRANDMA’S LOVE & DREAM

Dream-Love Africa
Haven Dream & Haley Love

This writing is a celebration of Grandmothers! And, it is a call to grandmothers to assist in cultivating our grandchildren’s strong spiritual base.  We must ensure that they internalize the practices and traditions that will ensure that they develop healthy attitudes, mature minds, and high personal integrity.  We have cultivated wisdom through courageously and passionately living life — we understand the “bottom line” of what is important, and what’s not.  Therefore, we have much to share and model that will empower and strengthen our future — our Grandchildren! Love your site, Dr. Mzuri!

I’m taking the education challenge…will hear back any day regarding my acceptance to a SUNY where I will finish my B.A. I am disheartened however because the motivation is to be able to apply for the same jobs I’ve done my entire life. Suddenly, they now require a degree and my considerable experience goes by the wayside. The kids are grown, I’m doing the entrepreneur thing at the moment (Thank God for talents and Decatur Street childhood) so I feel confident I can pull this off…REALLY READY? Mmmmm?

    1. Greetings again Dear Heart!

The great news is that your “experience” will not be ignored by the college – or at least it should not be. Nowadays, schools give plenty credits for life experience. This fact should expedite your journey through college. As for are you REALLY READY…well, sounds like you have a lot of intrapersonal wealth under your belt, as well. Let’s keep in touch, and if you have any other comments/questions, feel free to A.S.K.

P.S. Would love to meet personally. Check out my Loves Me, Loves Me NOT! Women’s Relationship Empowerment Workshop I’m offering on Dec. 17th at the “Where is the Love” link.

Until next time – Peace & Passion — Mzuri
